Many studies in biology lead to large amounts of data or data that is difficult to interpret. Bioinformatics is used in these fields so help solve these problems.

The aim of the group is to develop new computational approaches to solving data analysis and integration problems posed in biology

Research Interests

We are most interested in the topics listed below but we do perform other tasks like sequence assembly, as well.

  • De novo sequencing of MS/MS data
  • Mass spectrometric data storage, analysis and visualization (2DB)
  • Quantitation of MS and MS/MS data
  • Protein secondary structure prediction

  • miRNA genesis
  • miRNA targeting
  • Systematic computational analysis of miRNA regulative networks
